hazel new agent, hazel dev, and hazel apply with hazeld — develop locally, keep agents Running after the terminal closes.
HazelJS Agent OS is local-first. You do not need a proprietary cloud to experience the operating layer.
Ideal workflow
hazel new agent support-agent
cd support-agent
hazel dev
hazel dev runs AgentOS in the foreground — it dies with the terminal.
When you want agents to keep Running after you close the shell:
hazel apply
That ensures hazeld (the local supervisor node) is up, applies DNA/YAML, and returns. Then use hazel ps, hazel logs, and hazel approvals like local infrastructure.
There is no hazel deploy command today — local apply is the supported path. Distributed/Kubernetes control-plane seams remain experimental.
